HELP!! Muzzy header pipe loose in head?

The exhaust was already on the rhino when I got it but I'm trying to make my own with using the muzzy header pipes. There is a flange on both pipes and a small cylinder (removable) that slides over the pipe and fits in the head. When I tighten then flanges down, with a little wiggle I can pull them back out of the head. Only leaving the flanges and the small cylinders to be left attached. Is this normal?

I imagine them "small cylinders" are actually the gaskets. Google Yamaha Rhino parts and look at the exhaust. With everything secured you shouldnt be able to pull them out.

That's the way they are. I didn't know until riding pretty hard yesterday. I just put a used set on my rhino and didn't realize that there were springs going from the flanges to the pipe. Those springs hold the pipes in there, but let them move just a little for the engine movement so they don't break. I didn't have the springs on there, and my pipes were coming out at about 40 mph in the woods.
