    Whitetail season opener

    In my zone whitetail and bear rifle season open on Halloween Oct 31. I have put out a few bates and cameras and my ground blind is up, I have a tree stand and a another ground blind ready. What are you guys doing to get ready?

    I'm already ready. In a tree stand now over looking the beautiful mountains of central PA. No deer yet.

    Been ready also. havent seen many deer till last night and they were coming out of the woodwork! Too bad it took till almost dark for them to come out. Last night was miserable, rainy and foggy but managed to squeeze the trigger on a doe. major ground shrinkage! i thought it was a nice size till i walked up on it (200yds away) and realized it was bambis little sister. hahahaha. o well, there will be tender vittles in the skillet sunday!!!

    Looking for this guys brother. Feeders are ready and some mineral blocks put out but we are getting first decent rain since July 4th this weekend so seed is still in shop. May go put it out sunday. at least it will be up when we need it most in december.

    Bow season started Oct 1st. I took today off to reseed and take my son hunting on one of his very few days off.

    I dropped him off at his stand at 3:00

    At 5:40 I got the text '' Dad, I think I got one.'' lol.
