Don't get me wrong it's definitely improved! I actually haven't driven it yet. The guy driving is a mechanic buddy of mine that installed everything. I had to work last weekend. I will get to ride this weekend. He said it's got good low to mid range so if he's saying that then it must be pretty good. I'll give an update after I ride this weekend and we will go from there.

In regards to the tires I will take a bearclaw any day of the week over a mudlite for what you ride. They are light, cheap, I personally never plugged one. I have been through mud where xtr's got stuck. Not saying they are a better mud tire than a xtr but, for me they work great for my terrain which is similar. The tires tend to run a bit smaller so be aware did I mention they were light? I am talking about the 6 ply bearclaws

So, I finally got a chance to take the Viking is definitely a different beast. It feels like a 900 now. Very happy with the low to mid range. I didn't get a chance to top it out yet. The JBS clutch is legit! I'll leave it at that. My biggest problem now is getting the Mud Lites to hook up. I still think I would benefit from a better all around tire. I looked at the Kenda Bear Claw HTR and they look like a good option. I just wish they made it in 28 with 12 inch rims. Any other suggestions?

Would you go with the 28x10s all the way around or the 27s to save weight?

I didn't notice they are in limited sizes. Most atv tires are one inch short in mounted height from what they are advertised. If you do 27's they will be in 9 and 11 wide, the 28's 10 wide all around. The total weight difference is about 13 lbs, not enough to worry about.
