Stroking does not generally create more heat in the engine. Things that typically generate more heat are larger bores due to the thinner cylinder walls next to the cooling passages. Even then the stock cooling system is more than capable. The problem the Viking seems to have is the fan does not come on soon enough. So if it was me I would buy the bypass from JBS that comes out next week and make sure the radiator is clean with no corrosion.

in knee deep
my rhino does fine with stock cooling system. if it starts to get plugged with seeds, dirt and stuff it will cycle the fan more often. then I know its cleaning time. I would love to improve it but it is sufficient for the time being.

Get the bigger radiator. Fan almost never runs vs all the time with a big bore stroker.

I picked up a Mishimoto aluminum radiator for about $100 last year and it helped. Fan override is a cheap investment but the knowledge of the engine temp is a good notify if you like to pay attention to such things. The sensor in a hose adapter at the tstat outlet will give you a good reading. If assumming this is a 700, James will put the right thermostat in but there are some higher temp aftermarket out there that you need to avoid. And beware that if it overheats one time the tstat is likely bad and needs to be replaced.

ring gap plays a role in how hot it runs when it is new..i ran stock rad with a heater for 10,000 miles
