is this glock's first single stack? i have a 22 and a 27 and love them. the 27 is harder to hold on to, though. it's definitely a 2-hand pistol.

i have an LCP so i'm not in the market for a .380.

I would like something smaller to carry from time to time than my 27. The Glock 42 seems like it will be a nice sized gun and you cannot beat the simplicity of the Glock. A .380 will still get the job done IMO. Id rather have a well placed small round than a poorly placed large round.

They are also marketing it to ladies (they have a commercial where a woman is home alone , and an intruder breaks in on her with her 42 in hand ) . IMO , if sales go well , they will release it in 9 , or 40 later on .
If I were a betting man a 9mm is coming in this size. This gun is certainly marketed towards females though.

Thr Kahr CM9 is a sweet setup. Basically a sub compact 9mm Glock.

I'm interested to see the size of this. It looks pretty big for a .380. The SW Bodyguard and the LCP are both very small and they both sell like hotcakes because of the price point. I bought an LCP for the wife in Dec. Glock is trying to tap into that market but I think they'll have a hard time competing with a larger base and a larger price point.

Nope. I really like the idea of the single stacks as long as they shoot well. Haven't been much of a gun junky anymore since I got this rhino. It gets most of my spare time and attention.

    I will check that out.

I picked this 42 up yestarday with 2 clips with extensions and a nice holster for $100 less then retail. It has 50 rounds through it. I think I'm going to give my Walther P22 to my father-in-law. I have Thomas dip it camo for me last yr.
