I've been talking with James...which btw he is an awesome guy to do business with. Not many businesses you can call up and get his kind of customer service and response with. He knows his stuff. Hats off to JBS performance and James!

like Scott said, go ahead and do the secondary, too, and you won't have to worry about anything for a few thousand miles

Whoa, that looks really bad. New parts and good greasing it will be good as new!

Over the long weekend I dug into the wet clutch portion of the rhino. It does show some wear but not like the primary. Tell me what you think from these photos. The wear lines inside the drum are almost non existent to the touch.

It would be a shame to do the CVT and then have to get into it to do the clutch real soon. The clutch probably got worn out trying to start off in 'second' or 'third' for a great part of its life. And don't do the Chinese clutch routine!

I would just go ahead and do it all if you can. Go over the whole thing and make it right. Then, you are good to go for a very long time without any major problems. Plan B, take it as is, and trade it on a new Wolverine, Viking, or Teryx.

That thing took on water and mud at some point. Never got cleaned out, so it just went to hell. Fix it up and maintain it the way it should be done, and it will run you for a very long time. I have almost 4000 miles on mine, primary and secondary gets maintenance every 1000-1500 as long as it doesn't get swamped, yamaha oil every 500 miles. I'm running all of the stuff that came in it from the factory. Sheave was put in at 100 miles, and I'm still running the same weights, slides, camplate...everything but the belt. Just changed the belt because it was getting old, not wore out yet.
