I know this has been talked about before but im looking to add a switch for my cooling fan so i can turn it on when i want an still have it work like factory as well. Can i put a switch to the temp senser on the rad.? I know if u cross the plug the fan will turn on so will this work the way im thinking?

07 sport 720 stroker, +4mm hot rods stroker crank ( welded ) weller head studs, 43mm fcr carb,alba high flow fuel pump, weller high flow fuel line kit, billet middle drive support 102mm 10:1 JE piston stage 1 raptor cam, ported & polished head & intake manifold, k&n full intake, alba exhaust, 700 cam plate JBS sheave 14g od's orange spring antifriction washers,700 belt, rhino giant 4 seat cage, 26" big horns on raceline beadlocks, homemade diamond plate alum. half doors....an more!

Ive seen the kits out there but if its just a switch an some wire i have all that here. Just wanted to know if i put power to the fan its self or if i can put a switch on the coolant senser wires an turn it on that way?

I assume you have a 660 stroked to 720? If it is indeed a 660, then yes, all you have to do is put a switch across the thermo-switch on the radiator. You will want a 15 Amp or more rated switch and use at least 16 gauge wire (14 ga to be super safe).

Yes its a 660 based rhino. Thanks for the info steves i was hoping you would chime in thanks! Ill have to look again but i think i bought a 15 or 20 amp switch. 12 gauge wire be ok for this?
