After trying a few different mufflers, all of which were too loud, my thoughts were to try and punch a couple holes in the baffle of the stock muffler. Who has done this and what were your results??? What size and how many holes did you drill???

i just put a different tip on mine (one of the billet straight out ones). It made it a little louder without being annoying at all. You can get a taste of what it sounds like by just pulling the stock tip off and starting it and see how you like that.

I like my Gibson, they make a complete system for the 660 and its still USFS approved at 96db with a spark arrestor.

i just got done replacing mine and the only mod i did was to use hi-temp 2200° rustoleum paint. the old one rusted at the weld.

from what i could see, if you used a very long drill bit you could drill through the baffles, but you might reach a point of no return rather quickly.

The guys that had mine before me knocked out the guts of my muffler with looks like to be a pry bar. It was way loud.My muzzy's with whisper cores are much quieter. Actually don't know how quiet a unfubarred stock system sounds like. Lol
