I helped my Dad clear all the old timber out of that tunnel. We were only able to get maybe 50 feet before it got too dangerous. He salvaged the 12"x12" timber and sold it as dunnage and the smaller pieces for landscape lumber. After a days work we would go back to the motel in Eureka and we looked like coal miners from the black coal soot on the lumber. It was a dirty job. This was in 1972 I believe. Glad to see someone else finished the job. Haven't been back to Eureka since the 70's, but it was a cool little town.Quote:

Had a little upgrade show up at work today straight out of Salt Lake City UT.........
