It's legal here too, the local news followed a few of them for a while. They walk around the corner at the end of the day, get into a very nice car and live in nice homes all tax free money. Not saying they're all like this but it's bullshit that the ones taking advantage are making big bucks. I guarantee you if you stood on a corner holding a sign saying you work a full time job, don't do drugs or have a drinking problem and can't keep up with the bills that you will have tons of people give you money

My buddy and I were on the way back to work from lunch and say these two get out of the van go into the store and fill there backpack up with food drinks and cigs for the day ahead. He said I'm gonna take there pic I said leave them alone. There doing construction hense the bump sign behind them. He cropped it down to say bum and I thought it was funny cause I know the story. Hell most of these guys are from out of state.

I agree I am sometimes soft harted to those people but at the same time a little nieve. My brother due to his job is a little more hard around the edges & edjucted to people like that. I don't like when they try to use children a ploy for money. One x-mas we was at a shopping center and a lady and child approached us asking for money. First thang I did was reach in my pocket but as I did he said wait and politely said instead let me take you and the baby into the store and by you all a coat & gloves and something to eat she declined. I later asked why he had done that and he said cause she wanted it for drug money he had noticed track markes up and down her arms and some other thangs the let him know she was heavily into drugs.

if you talk to people that are caretakers for homeless people, they will tell you the worst thing you can do is give them cash.
they usually have all the support system they need in the cities.
cash just lets them buy alcohol, etc., outside the "system."
i know it's hard sometimes to pass up a person in need, but if everybody "took care of their own" the world would be a better place.

did anyone notice who ever took the picture took it so the sign said bum and not bump, nice photography work
