MONEY :dancing-banana-home
is that grain?
down here they rotate corn & soybeans
Grain harvest hasn't started yet. We have a couple more weeks before we can go. That's a grass/alfalfa field. I'm raking Raking in front the baler. That's the stuff that's already been baled. Stuff to the other side still has wind rows.
We do wheat, barely, canola, garbanzo beans in various rotations and hay. Lol.
Been a lot of 24 and 36 hour shifts lately.

my great grandparents on both sides were farmers and owned thousands of acres around here.
things got tough and they had to sell.
sure wish they would've held on to the land. prolly couldn't afford the taxes now.
Just slightly different in height!
Bought a stock set of tires and wheels today for $50 gonna see how much power my AT's were robbing.

Well prices are up high this year. Hay is terrible for production wise. But about $130 a bale or 200 a ton. We do big squares, 3x4x8ft bales. Right around 1300lbs. We had a field that usually goes 2 ton an acre go .63 ton. Sad when you only get a bale an acre. Lol. Much below 200 a ton on production like that and you'll lose money. But that's market price right now cause frost hammered everyone.

Opps i mean with such low production, you need roughly $200 an acre to not lose money. So depending on how many tons per acre usually dictates the price. And with some of the stuff producing so low it can be money ahead to not hay it.

Just a little! Those AT's pretty much filled out the fender well.

2001 F350 w/ powerstroke pulling a 36' bumper pull trailer from Pa to Johnson Valley Ca for the King of the Hammers race. I'd say we were loaded down pretty good. The trailer was rated for 14k
