My wife took my daughter to work this afternoon so she wouldn't get stuck. So she did instead. We have a few front end loaders where I do some side work. Trammed it down the road about five miles. Parking lot is sloped and was a sheet if ice. She slid into the 2 foot high pile of crap from the plow and couldn't get out. Almost slid into a 4 foot ditch

Shitty picture but that is the bottom of my Volkswagen golf transmission. Big ice, rock clunky fell off a tractor trailer in front of me coming home from work Monday morning. Couldn't avoid it. Actually lifted both drivers side tires off the ground a bit. Drove the skid plate right into the tranny case and spider webbed it. Found one available in Pittsburgh for $1000. Mine is a diesel and not too many spare parts for them. Not to mention I wasn't budgeting an extra grand for the hell of it. Kind of sucks.

We have an epoxy at work called PC-11. Crap sticks to anything. I tried that and it just leaked thru. So as I was wiping it off, it got pushed into the cracks and pretty much stopped the leaks. Mostly anyway. The bad part is it's one of those sealed systems that you can't check the level or add anything to. So I not sure how much I lost so far and don't know where to add. I know you can, just haven't found it yet.
I know on some transmissions you can pull the speed senser out an fill it thru there but not sure on a vw

Im been looking at a vw forum. I forgot my password so I can't post any questions though. I'll figure it out sooner or later.
thanks they are pretty easy to pour, but the coloring is where the artistic side has to come out. hell im just the opposite, Im creative but not very mechanical. I just tore my top end off my rhino and sent it off to alba, you talk about a scary thing taking it apart. I took pics, labeled baggies with bolts and parts to each thing. if I didn't have the manual id never even try it. but Im trying to do all the work on my machine so I can learn and bc I aint got the cash to pay someone to do it......
you said baggies...lol
