Some pics of the bike rally in Port Dover, Ontario. These were taken later in the day. At the peak of the day, approx. 75000 bikers where here, for a 1 day rally. This rally started in the early 80's, when 5 of us showed up for beers at the Commercial Hotel. We used to drop off flyers when we would go out on our vintage motorcycles ( I rode my 1934 Harley Davidson VLD), trying to get people to come to Dover for our little festival of friends. Friday July 13th 2012, 150,000+ bikers came to our fair town of 6000 people. That one was the biggest so far. Even in the winter months we can still get 2500 people show up for a Friday The 13th.
Looks like the upper gates won't get opened up this week, we got snow today!!! AHHHH!!!!
