what do you pick and why?

for me I chose ak`s because they have a long durable reliable track record. kinda like the rhino...lol...the avg 7.63x39 round is 124 grain compared to a .223 at 55 grain. accurate up to 100 yards with a good scope , more powerful then AR at 100 yards or less , ak`s will eat any ammo you load into the mags , ak`s will still function loaded with dirt , sand , mud and water , ak has less parts. in my eyes the ak is superior to the ar but the ar`s look badass built right. why do soo many people choose the ar over the ak? am I wrong with my statements?

an ar with 5.56 is stable out to 600 yds, I like that

accuracy would be my first reason , my ar with a dpms varmint upper can consistantly shoot 100 yd 5 shot groups from a lead sled around .356 m that's not much more than a 1/4" and that's using cheap fiochii 50 gr v-maxes the ak's that I've shot where no were near that or even close

AR for me. You can get them piston driven now like the AK if you want. That is the dependability everyone likes about them. You can also get them chambered in both calibers and many others.

if i want to reach out past 100 yards i`ll grab my rpk which for those who don't know a rpk is a sniper version of a ak. i would really like to build a left handed ar-10. close urban combat i think its hard to beat a ak for the price.
