As far as stag goes there good guns....and I see where your comin from mike on wanting a left hand ar.....there hard to come by at LGS because there's not that many of you weirdos out there that shoot lefty there for prob not gonna be an easy sale if you decide you want or need it anymore....I'm not tryin to talk ya out of a lefty by no means I kno if I was a lefty I'd prob want a left hand gun.....if you buy a stag you'll be happy with it they make nice guns they shoot well....the main question is what do you wanna do with it.do you wanna hunt with it or punch paper with it?????

Lefty here too, no problem with AR in regular configuration. If you plan to keep it for life, I'd say it's your money and go get what you want. If you have any reserves about the future and keeping or selling it, I'd say buy regular configuration because the controls are pretty user friendly and it would be a LOT easier to sell. I'd recommend some range time with one, that will help you decide if you want to spend the extra coin for a left handed model.

yea I would love to shoot one first but I don't know of anyone with one that I could try first. im with ya dusty I don't know if I could shoot one I only ever shot right handed guns.

so what do I want in a AR and what do I need to stay away from? standard barrel , chrome lined barrel , twist , piston no piston etc....its all French to me.

Being a lefty, I understand both sides. But personally, and just speaking for myself, if I had Donald Trumps money I would still buy regular configuration. They are that user friendly.

Then I'd stick with a 556 16in barrel (carbine) most ar's on the market are up to spec.....you can build a nicer gun for the same money
