went out lookin' for an old top break revolver last week and bought this. took me awhile to figure out how to open the cylinder lol
it takes a .38 S+W cartridge. it's a shorter cartridge than a regular .38, and can be shot with one hand easily.
it's called a "lemon squeezer" because when you open it up it looks like a...
since my knowledge of firearms is pretty limited, i was intrigued by the fact that they even made a hammerless revolver in 1899.
a friend of mine has a .357 hammerless and until i saw that i didn't even know there was such a thing.
there is a "safety" built into the grip so that the gun can't be fired without depressing it with pressure from your hand.
as a printer, i really like old ads like this. the artisans that chiseled these on stone tablets (lithographs) are forgotten these days. we take an awful lot for granted with our new, powerful computers.
