    Clutch Kit need?

Ok guys, I am new here and want to ask about JBS clutch kit.

Long story short, last week I tried float testing my 2015 Viking the depth of mud can be deceiving . Got it out and pulled the plug and drained the water outta it. Now it feels like its in low gear. It pulls great but will only do 22 mph before hitting the rev limiter. I asked around on a facebook group and they explained to me I need to pull apart clean and grease the clutch.

Well I have been looking at adding a clutch to it since I bought it. So if I have to tear it down I figure go ahead and do it now. I have heard great things about the JBS clutches and cant wait to have one of my own.

I am running 14" wheels and 27" Roctane tires. No CDI yet but I am going to add that asap. I also am going to snorkel it to prevent a reoccurrence of last weeks float test. I ride a lot of general trails but do play in the mud to.

I guess my question is: On the JBS website is the basic sheave to the kit that adds the cam plate to the total kit. What is the advantage of adding the cam plate? Also what sizes weights and what color spring do I need? I went to the website and was going to buy one tonight but it told me invalid zip code or something. I would like to be able to be back up and running in a week so I can go to busco beach in 2 weeks. (I travel with work and only have a couple nights I can work on it)

Any help would be great! Thanks in advance!

First before you buy it talk to them so they can get your weights right

I wouldn't ride it anymore till you get the clutches cleaned or get the sheave and service the secondary. As it the dirt and water in there can groove your sheave faces.

But I would call JBS up and ask them the questions and let them get you set up for your weights and springs for you over the phone. make sure you also say your forum user name as well. also if you don't have the grease for the clutches already might include that in your order from JBS as well. beats goingt to the dealer for it.

you prolly have a bunch of mud caked in the clutch that will not allow it to move. been there, done that.

wait til monday and call hotrod. he'll talk to you about your style of riding, what you want to accomplish, and how to git 'er done!

oh yeah, welcome to the forum. these guys are the best
