I have a set of emp a arm guards on mine. They will be coming off soon. I ride muddy trails and they fill up with mud on me. Prolly gonna sell them when they come off.

I take mine on and off. If going basically straight mudding, off they come. Rest of the time I don't mind walking around and checking the guards when I stop. Haven't torn a boot with them on, but lots without them on. Lol

I have EMP's on my rhino (A arm guards) they do fill up with mud for sure. But I was tearing boots every time I went out before i put them on. Since then I have not torn one.

they build good stuff. Every skid I have ever bought from them was really nice. The hardware was real nice too and not cheap bolts.

that's the down side of full plates/guards. you have to spend extra time cleaning. I had a full Ricochet skid set on my Grizzly that I took off because the mud and gravel packed around the boot seemed more of a potential problem than not having them

I thought about drilling some holes in them (smaller ones) to see if I could get some of the mid to clear that way.....even it it was only when washing it it would give the mud a place to go
