JBS Fall Ride, Travel from Texas

We are finalizing our plans for the 2016 Fall Ride. In anticipation, we have begun mapping out the journey from Victoria, Texas. Because we are not familiar with the area, perhaps some of you who have been to Ashland can advise if there's a better/faster route.

I've read on here that there are some roads that are not recommended. Hopefully, my route has not traveled down those paths! We intend to be at the campground Thursday afternoon/evening not too long after check-in.

I know Rob and txgrown are coming from Texas. Any advice for a first time traveler to West Virginia? Any places we should stop along the way?

Safe travels to all of you!

that looks good. I'm not certain about going through Bluefield, I have never been in that way. The town is not big so even if you go down the main drag it's not a problem

We went through bluefield last year. There's an easy way and a hard way to get to the campground from there - I just can't remember which is which.
