2018 Arctic Cat Wild Cat XX & Speed Cat 77

The Speed Cat Addition will be 77 inches wide and will be marketed to desert racers.

This will be known as the Wild Cat XX and will be 64 inches wide and race ready for any series. organizers will have to determine and approve the stock roll cage. We expect most of them will approve it.

Huge King Shocks will work on the 64 inch wide Wild Cat XX or with the Speed Cat 77

Nice deep well cargo space. You can also see the external automotive style alternator.

The non turbo model will have around 130HP. Rumor has the turbo poweplant at over 200.

Just looking at it, it looks like a sport utility, like the general. But, I don't think it is. I think its more of a pure sport and the plastics just give the utility impression.

The all-new UTV uses a variant of Yamaha’s inline triple dual overhead cam engine, tuned to produce 130 horsepower from 998cc. This is in naturally aspirated configuration- Arctic Cat has promised both a factory Turbo unit down the line, as well as a bolt-on accessory turbo kit bumping power output to around 215 horsepower. The engine is mated to a TEAM Rapid Response CVT transmission, unlike the Yamaha YXZ1000R’s 5-speed manual or paddle-shift unit. Also included is a factory external alternator system. the stock naturally aspirated version is good for 83 mph

I'll be interested to see how this thing holds up, especially how the cvt does on yamaha's triple. It might be a good multi use platform that would appeal across the board.

WILDCAT XX: The Two Seater Whoop Eater

    reviving a year old thread:

Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. and its Textron Off Road brand have off-roaders’ hearts racing with the much-anticipated Wildcat XX. This new high-performance side-by- side designed to deliver an unbeatable ride experience, and you’ll certainly get your money’s worth at $20,499.
Designed in collaboration with off-road racing legend Robby Gordon, the Wildcat XX is built for a superior ride in every aspect. The off-road racing-inspired suspension system delivers best-in- class handling with more than 18 inches of travel in the front and rear. The FOX 2.5 PODIUM QS3 Shocks with Bottom-Out Control are precision-tuned at the factory with the flexibility to absorb and smooth out the most challenging rides. In addition, an all-new TEAM front gear case and rear trans axle provide 2WD/4WD and 4WD lock functionality for rock-crawling capability and exceptional flexibility in different terrains. Making it all go is a 125 HP, 998cc three-cylinder EFI engine—the highest horsepower aspirated engine in its class.

“Wildcat XX was inspired by the most extreme off-road racing vehicles, and is built to outperform the biggest side-by- side names in off-roading,” gave John Collins, Vice President, Consumer for Textron Specialized Vehicles. “We like to say that Wildcat XX puts ride over everything. With Wildcat XX, you get an unbeatable ride and ultimately, a side-by- side that will conquer any rock, rut or ravine.”
The Wildcat XX front suspension features unequal-length A-arms that angle the tire into every turn, grabbing more of the ground to better negotiate even the toughest hairpin turns. Backing it up is a rear trailing arm that might look familiar to hardcore truck and class one buggy racers, who provided the inspiration to link the arm to the front, but not the sides. This keeps the wheels moving up and down—not side to side as with competitive vehicles. The side to side motion—called track width change—pushes other machines off course, requiring constant steering corrections and reducing stability. Overall, the Wildcat XX trailing arm results in 80 percent less track width change in the rear for a smoother ride.
To further enhance the owner experience, Textron Specialized Vehicles designed the Wildcat XX with durability and serviceability at the forefront. With a race-inspired cage and tough components like double-shear joints, a forged aluminum front knuckle and HSLA tubing throughout, Wildcat XX is built to take the most extreme punishment. In addition, the engine is top-mounted to avoid taking a beating during bottom outs.
When service is required, the Wildcat XX front steel clip and rear bottom skid are easily removable, and the cargo box is removable without any tools. Because of this, you get easy access to the power train, trans axle, engine and front gear case. Wildcat XX offers a driver-first design for the ultimate in comfort and convenience. Key features include the largest cab in the industry, ergonomic seating and an automotive style interior.
