    YXZ on 32's

Just thought people might be interested in fitting 32's on a stock YXZ. This is my buddy's and he debated 30's vs. 32's for awhile because he couldn't get any good answers on fitment, but he bit the bullet and went 32's. These are 32x10-14 SuperATV Intimidators on 14x7 5+2 STI HD5 beadlocks.

He also has the GYTR gear reduction kit and Rekluse clutch (installed when the machine was brand new and before these tires).

    They seem to clear fine.

Did a trailride on Saturday with the YXZ in the picture and also drove it around a little. For comparison I have a '15 Teryx4 on 28" Intimidators and beadlocks.

The YXZ is a nice machine and has great ground clearance. To be honest I didn't notice a huge difference in the ride during lower speed trailriding. I'm sure in higher speed riding and jumps there is a huge difference, but in the lower speed stuff it wasn't a night and day difference. Not sure what the shocks are set to on the YXZ as they could be set really stiff and my buddy doesn't know anything about them.

Power-wise I couldn't imagine trying to trailride with the stock gearing! Even with the 70% reduction and Rekluse clutch the thing just doesn't feel like it has much low end power at all from a stop. Get it revved up a little and it will rip, and hitting the throttle from about 10 mph it will get loose in a hurry. Had to winch it out 3 times from a hole......even in first gear with some throttle applied it would bog out and then he couldn't spin the tires in either forward or reverse (he was driving twice, I was driving once). I was pretty surprised.

those are some big heavy tires but with gears and the rekluse the YXZ has plenty of power, you just gotta gas on it!
    that engine loves rpm's

Part of it is likely driving style but my buddy has had it for several months now. He got stuck in the same hole twice in a row. It was about a 3' straight drop off a creek bank into a hole so you can't really get up a lot of speed. After winching him out once he tried it again with more throttle and the same thing.......tires dropped down in the hole and it bogged out. Tried reverse and forward multiple times and it wouldn't even turn over the tires even slowly, and it wasn't the clutch slipping either as the engine wouldn't rev very high. Pretty sure if you could have spun the tires it would have pulled itself out. A RZR (not sure if it was a 900 or 1000) on 34's walked right through the same spot.

I dunno then. That bike with that setup on those tires should go through mud holes easily.

When you lower the gears they do great but when Hugh tires get put on it takes the gearing away and that is why I will only do 29s cause I wanna be able to turn them good

Wow, I just looked up the specs on that tire, 58 lbs each! That is more than double what the stock tires weigh, plus 5 more inches in height.
