The new Wolverine X4 is definitely a sweet ride. If Yamaha produces an Wolverine X2 with an R-Spec suspension, I’d consider selling my Ranger 900 for that machine.
My canned ham will be up for sale too.

If wanted a strictly work machine, the Ranger would be my choice. For a trail machine the Ranger does pretty good but I think the X4 will do better. Especially as my girls grow and won't be able to sit between my wife and I in the bench seat. I think the x4 is going to be hard to beat for anyone riding tight trails and needs to carry more than 3 people. I also have a friend with a Teryx 4. That is a good trail machine too but feels very outdated next to the X4. The X4 rides much smoother, quieter, and is refined compared to the Teryx.
I was really kicking the idea around on the Pioneer 700-4 deluxe before test riding the X4. The 700 reminds me a lot of the my old Rhino. My dad has a regular Pioneer 700 and it has been rock solid. The suspension isn't anything great but it does well enough I could have dealt with it until riding in the X4. I am a Yamaha fan so I may be being a little biased in my take vs the competition but I think people looking for a 4 seat trail machine should really check out the X4

Considering another machine as of now ----
It is between the Yamaha X4 & the Pioneer 1000-5. Since I do more trial riding & do not need a work machine, this is why I have narrowed my search to these two machines. Really liking the X4 as of now

I don’t think you could go wrong with either one
I’ve got the pioneer 1000-5. It has taken some getting use to with the transmission. It’s a blast blast banging through the gears with the paddle shifters
The seats in the X4 look a whole lot more comfortable than the pioneer
And it looks a tad bit smaller. Should get through tighter trails a little better than the pioneer
