Well I jumped in on this earlier without enough investigation. This morning I took my filter apart to replace the element with a NO-Toil. I found the referenced screws. I did have two which appear to be designed to hold perforated screen in place but do not do a very good job. There are actually four holes for this in the plastic cage. I took out the two little screws and found some little self-threading screws in my can that was I believe from some electronic gear. They were like 1/2" by #4 Philips with a washer head that easily covered the edge of the perforated screen and clamped it down. They easily threaded into the plastic cage holes but a little long so I ground off about an 1/8" of length, and they are tight in the hole. if one comes out and I do not believe they will cause of tightness of the fit, if the perf screen stays in place the screws cannot get into the inside airway. I hope this helps someone else.

Checked mine out today and had a suprize, opened up the cover and i thought what died, then i seen how dirty the filter was inside the box and thought maybe one of those stinky mudholes was the culprit, I pulled the filter out and seen the inside was clean so i pulled it off and both my screws were still in place and tight but im gonna do some mods and make sure theres no future problems.
When i went to clean the airbox out i found out where the smell was coming from, it was a dead mouse, lol.
I found the same problem on my Viking. The screws were both loose ready to come out because the cage slips out from under the screw and then theirs no tension on'm,I did the zip tie mod on mine and sinched the crap out of them and closed the gap a lot tighter used the screw holes for zip ties, what a shame it would B to lose a motor over 1 F%$&(#g screw, sometimes i wonder who designs this shit,by the way the Wolvy screws are larger than the Viking.
Rivets look and work the best i think
