    It looks like you can almost see the grease on the cover. But can you explain why the wear appears to be in steps? Was this round or stepped weights?

    Looks like it spent most all of it's time in low to just over 1/2 the travel of the belt. Where most of them live at while riding most trails. Looks like the low spot is from the 1st big wear mark to just over 1/2 way, then steps back up because it never got run there much. It's soft parts with lots of stress on it, it's gonna wear quick where the belt runs. Had to sand mine out a little at 2000 miles.

    it slipped the most at first when it got in water or the grease leaked out and in the lowest point and did the most wear there trying to move.then as it dried up it moved farther out wearing the sheave at the place they traveled the most till it was checked for the issue
