Big bore vs big bore/stroker kit
Thinking about going down one of these avenues trying to get some info on both. The big bore is obviously a lot less work and cheaper than big bore + stroker kit. I do not want to lose reliability and do not want to have a tuning nightmare. I do not want to lose top speed but don’t really care about gaining a bunch of top speed. My concern is bottom end to mid range. I know power improvement is opinion based but how much difference is big bore over stock and how much is stroker over big bore? Keep in mind not losing reliability is key. All help and info will be greatly appreciated since I have never rode in a machine that has either done to have a comparison.

The bbs engines James builds are more reliable than stock because he hand builds them and knows things to do that are better than stock builds. They last for thousands of miles.

Stroker helps alot... I can't stand not having a stroker in any of my Yamahas

Is just a big bore worth the money for the power improvement or is stroker the only real way to go for noticing good power gain. What are your tuning options when you do the stroker upgrade.

imo if you're goin in you might as well do it all. if you don't have the money right now just do a stroker.
longer stroke gives more bottom end but the two compliment each other if done right.
