    Rad Guard Winch Access

Here is what I have done to access the winch free spool knob with the Radiator Guards. Just cut the panel from the slit end (did not weaken it) and hinged with a section of aluminum continuous hinge pop riveted to each section. A little steel plate and a magnetic cabinet latch at the top should keep it latched, but I have not ridden it this way yet. Please do not critique the painting, first mud bath changes all that, lol.

Good thinking ! That was my only "non-positive" remarks on the guards. There were always quite a few "colorful" words said every plow season whenever I had to repair the broken cable .

That's a pretty slick mod to your radiator guards. I'm looking at a set for improved cooling for this season too.

It's a must do. This was easy mod....I noticed on last ride that it was open once, so I may need to adjust so magnet is flat against plate or change to a stronger mechanical friction catch.

They have some pretty strong little magnets at Home Depot that I’m sure you could rig something up that will hold good and solid.
