Grizzly 700 JBS hotrod sheave for fast trail ride questions
Hi all,
2012 Grizz 700 w/ eps. 1" wheel spacers, stock rims, 26" Maxxis Zillas, Rox risers and bars, winch, the rest is all stock. Read up on the sheave and saw a lot of videos. Very interested in the hotrod sheave clutch kit with secondary spring.
A few questions for those in the know.
All my riding is woods with mud or in woods with rocks depending where we go. Will the sheave kit provide enough snap in 4H to loft the front end up over fallen trees on the trail ? Will it provide enough snap to make the front end light through whoops ? Does the kit make Jumping better and reduce nosedives ?
Most trails we ride are in 4H and we go at a pretty quick pace, but when we need 4L, we need it for rock gardens or deep mud. What is 4L like with the sheave kit?
Thanks !
Old guy in the woods on his Grizz.

Sheave kit definitely is the first step to a fast yamaha.it will also have better throttle response like you are wanting from the kit..just let me know how fast you wanna go....lol

Thanks for confirming the throttle response questions. I'll call to follow up and get the right setup. Heading out to Nashville for a mini vacation with the Mrs. and friends tomorrow and will call next week. Thanks Again !
