    Ecu reflash vs pc5

What are the pros and cons of the two for a stock viking. I know you can adjust the pc5, but I wouldn’t need to all that.

James knows far more than i do on both. My personal preference is the factory ecu. Reprogramming can set fuel, block AIS, set radiator fan to activate at a lower temperature, and increase rpm's.

I went the PC5 because of my 3 yr warranty on my Teryx, if I went and changed the ECU they could void my warranty. Plus the PC5 had the abilities to change my limiters and fuel adjustments. If the changes were for the better the rest of things like fan adjustments aren't affected. Plus if I sell my Teryx I can take my PC5 off and sell it.

What kind of gains can be be had with a reflashed ecu on a stock viking with a JBS clutch? Any more speed, power???? Is it worth doing?

I can’t seem to get much info, I have been told it’s worth it, just for the added fuel and raised rev limiter. With all the vikings that has a pc5 or ecu reflash, you would think they was plenty of reviews out.

James, did the ecu reflash do anything for the stock viking other then raise rev limiter and change the fan temp

We have a high compression piston in Ryan's and it made a big difference over the pc5 with tuning...on a stock bike the tuning isn't needed as bad so the gains would be minimal on a stock one.
