I bought both an aftermarket wet clutch and wet clutch drum at the same time almost a year ago for my 660. The drum seems fine, and the wet clutch shoes are still fine, but after about 3 weeks of changing the set and the one way , I had some noise so I tore it back apart to find that the one way (installed correctly) chewed up the carrier hub of the wet clutch, soft metal on the carrier part I guess, So I got a new one way and put the aftermarket wet clutch shoes on the factory old carrier, and it works good. In my experience the clutch shoes are fine but the carrier is cheap.

Ya all the research I've done is that the wet clutches on eBay are just junk and not worth the savings. Was just curious about the drum. Mine is almost done so was hoping to save a few bucks. But if its cheap Chinese crap I will just go oem
I've found out that usually when it comes to a wear item, oem is hard to beat because if it fails very often it has been upgraded to something that will last or formulated to work to OEM standards.
Well, they are cheap...and the are Chinese. I'm a firm believer in oem and the only reason I even tried it was because I didn't have the $$ for all oem stuff. Actually took me about 2 weeks of looking at them on Amazon and researching before I ordered them because I figured it was going to be junk. And compared to oem, I'd say they are, but they have been a good alternative (so far) for a person that can't get the funds and wants to ride. Just remember, 99% of the time you get what you pay for, at the time, it's ALL I could pay for.

The Chinese shoes will take a motor out quick cause they wear faster and send more pad through the oil at a faster rate

Yes I know that and have no intention of buying the cheap shoes. Was more curious about the drum it goes in. Are the niche ones crap? Should I just stick with oem?
OEM only...I have some nice uses stuff too

Ok thanks James. Those aren't cheap so was trying to save a few bucks is all. I would rather spend a little more than do it twice cuz I was cheap lol
Its usually pay now or pay later and later is usually alot more expensive
