    Hows the Secondary look?

Well got tyhe stuff lined up to get it apart and cleaned it up. It doesnt look perfect but not to bad I dont think, BUT Ill defer to those here to be sure... reusable or no?

What about the seals... they look ok but in the before pics nearest the center of the sheaves there was a good amount of slight grease or dirt build up and there was this pattern of lines eminating from the seal outward. Given all the gunk in the whole CVT housing who knows if it leaked out there or got in under the belt from being slung out the primary, so what say you replace?
If so whats the procedure to pull and reseat? Top pic is before cleaning the one half, the dark ring is the "gunk" that was present on both halves

A little grime always shows up in the spot you mentioned. Belt dust seems to collect there. As far as the seals, if they look good upon close inspection they are probably ok, but changing them only takes a few bucks and a few minutes. The sheave looks ok, I'd probably just run it. You can lightly sand it with some 400 grit.

Replace the seals and straighten up the faces and you'll be good ,,the secondaries don't wear as bad as the primary

    Awesome.. thanks.
By chance do you have any instructions on replacing the seals? Can they be put in by hand or do they need a seal driver / hammer or press?

A seal driver is better but you can do it with a large dead blow

If you have a big socket that just fits the rim of the seal it is a safer way to put in seal so no pressure or strikes go to the lips. IMHO
and once you get it down to face use a flat bar at perimeter to seat it evenly around face.
