Getting ready for 686 kit from James

So I've ordered the 686 kit from James and excited to get to it. I've already upgraded my middle drive gear . Any tips or advice on installation ?

Saw your video on the yamabond James and wondering whether or not it should be put on the whole gasket for just at the points you show. The service manual says the whole gasket but maybe that's overkill

Overkill! You dont want gasket to be able to slide or move when tightening.

So all went well with my 686 kit from James! New cylinder, new CP piston, rings and wrist pin, raptor valves and springs. Took the machine out for a good ride this weekend and I am happy to get my performance back! It has quite a bit more pull up hills and bottom end torque. Thank you James and Nikki for all your help in answering my questions and supplying me with all parts needed! Another happy JBS customer !!
