    Big Gun vs. HMF

It seems HMF is the popular brand, is the Big Gun lacking performance or quality or both?

neither are great systems both are really loud and both systems don't make much power at all. if your looking for power gains look else where if your pocket will allow there are much better systems out there to be had. between the 2 go with big gun.

I've been looking around and HMF, Big Gun and Barker's is about all I've found. The Barker's seems pretty loud and very expensive. Power gains on the Barker's are the same as the HMF, 4 to 5 hp.

For my bike HMF has a Titan quiet series (QS) slip-on, or complete setup.
It only is 1 DB louder then stock and performs very well.
James set up a PCV with a great tune so the whole thing was plug and play.

what you read and what you actually get are going to be different. simply bolting on a exhaust system isn't going to gain 5hp. to get everything out of a pipe you need to retune or rejet and also increase your air flow. I had a kfx700 with hmf , big gun and muzzy all full systems and the quad was dyno tuned for each system and the muzzy produced the most power by seat of the pants feel and paper 2nd was big gun and last was hmf

That's correct, 4-5 hp from an exhaust only is not possible. A more open exhaust does help the flow but it will also be louder.
