The factory ones have a little ridge on one side. I'm pretty sure I tried and they fit with both the ridge facing away or towards the cam cover. It may not make a difference. I'll try to take a picture tonight because I'm probably not making any sense.

I'm sure James know what you're talking about.

On mine the slider fits with either way. The tit is only on one side and I want to make sure I put it on correctly.

Also the shim that was sent. Is that to replace the factory one on the primary or do I use both?

Use the factory washer ...the shim goes on the end of the collar before you put the sheave so they go different places.. one is a shim one is a washer.. call me right now if you need to

I didn't see you reply to call but I did send you a text last night. I don't like to call people after 9. Can you also tell by the pictures I posted which is the correct way for the sliders to go on?

Correct me if I'm wrong but after our phone conversation this is the correct way.

Next question. My primary collar had grease inside it when I took it apart as well as the inside of secondary sheave that goes over the shaft coming out of the engine case. Are they supposed to have grease in them and if so, what kind?

I didn't have torque specs so I just hit the nuts with my air impact. At least I know its good and tight. Everything went well once I found out how to get some slack in the belt (using two bolts on the secondary). I only got to ride around my yard as I had some work to do. I didn't notice a huge increase in off the line acceleration but once I hooked up my 14' utility trailer with about 1000lbs on it I did notice the thing pulls like a diesel truck now. In other words it feels like there is a lot more low end torque. I hope to get it in high and do some high speed riding and some trail riding this weekend.

I got my HotRod Sheave yesterday and NASCAR'ed it in. I struggled to figure if I needed to use the shim, but because therebel19 installed his, I did mine also. I will say that I think that mine had a big increase in low end (pretty sure that I left black marks pulling out of my driveway). I simply blasted mine with the impact to make sure that it was good and tight.
