Do not attempt at home. Without some strategically placed really good welding blankets or outside with a spotter and a running water hose on some moving blankets lol.

Edit post: just occurred to me that that could be a good time to cut off the cap of the top bar and weld in a bung on each side. You could then make a rack for spare tire or whatever that would be removalble when tilting bed. Or it could be high enough to not interfere. Or rempve a bolt each side and swing it up out of the way....lots of possibilities.

Did you do this just to get the angle more level from front to rear? And how did you get it to go down to the radius you cut? Did you just bend it down?

Loosen the bolts on the a pillar, it will allow enough movement to pull the cage down.
