What I did was took a piece or bug screen and velcroed it across the back opening. It helps a lot with keeping dust from rolling back in the rear but still allows air to flow through the cab.

Yes, that is a big part of it. For me, the final solution was rather more complex. it takes many parts to make a whole.

You might consider the bug-screen across the front as well to ward off the pesky mosquitos.

And worse yet, having bumblebees flying ahead of you and in the same direction as you.
And then, the problem of your rear-ending them.

Sort of lie finding the nooks and crannies and then finding a solution for each in turn.

Like James approaches it, find the problem, find a solution, test, improve repeatedly until fully satisfied.

I have one across the front as well. $15 worth of material and I had a front and rear screen. I use the screen all summer and switch to my windshield when the temps start to drop. I also have a cab system I made out of shower curtains that works pretty good and isn't too ugly.

Ah, ugly is only in the eye of the beholder. For me it is function that matters, positive results there is what you need. All else is just fluff.
