In case you did not know this trick, spray some WD40 around the boot and body and head and if there is an air leak you will hear the motor do differently. An air leak will make a FI idle hgher.

I did with ether. Nothing happened. But I have had it apart since. I'll try adjusting the tps again. 17 seemed to work the best.

I tried both ways at different times.
Since you say it is a bored throttle body, I would recommend to check the throttle plate and make sure it is fully seated and sealing properly. I would trust that the boring process would require a new throttle plate and if it were forgotten to be exchanged in the process, you would have leakage around the sides at the shaft down to a converging point in the bore. Or maybe the boring process created a little burr or something else to hold the plate from full closure. ???

I'm going to check the clearances as I just did with the stock one. I may run it for a bit and see how I feel about it. I do love the power now though lol
Clearance of throttle plate set to about 25 thousandths. Would too tight of a clearance make it hard for the idle control unit struggle? It was less than 15 thousandths. Gonna reset TPS to factory position. Gonna hook it all up tomorrow or Weds and try again.
I have a vid on the clearance
