Major mess up installing clutch kit

Started installing my jBS extreme kit and wet clutch. While trying to access the wet clutch, tried to pry the cover/shaft off and cracked a piece off the lip of the crankcase that mates to the plastic inner case of the secondary clutch.

Still trying to figure out how to fix. Thinking tig weld, but open to suggestions. If I don't repair the clutch will not be sealed from the elements.

Post a picture. Give some detail on your motor, you posted in a viking forum, so is this a 700 (686) motor? and do you have any piece or pieces? It sounds like this is not in the oil galley?

The best way to get that cover off is to put the sheave nut on and pull on it with a slide hammer... should be able to Tig it

Trying to get a pic posted, but won't work from my phone.

Tig is what I was thinking, just not sure if it can be done while still in the car, or do I need to pull the motor.

Might have to pull it just to do a better job on the weld

No, it's not in the oil galley. It's simply the flange/lip on the crankcase that mates to the back of the plastic clutch housing to keep water etc out.
