Anyone have trouble with axle boots busting?

I bought a x2 in December and I've already got my front driver's side outer axle boot busted and my rear passenger inside boot busted...no big deal just wondering if this is normal for other people?
I know I need arm guards but damn their expensive.
When I take it apart to fix it I may just make me some at work

I busted my drivers side outer but that's my own fault for getting stuck in a gravel bar. I replaced it with an OEM boot and bands. I put A-Arm guards on and haven't had a problem since.

Did you buy them from a stealership?

I got them at Rocky Mountain ATV. Also bought the clamp tools. I had a boot spreader but couldn't get it to work so I ended up taking the out side ball assemble off which was much easier than I thought it would be and made assembly much easier. Get new c clips for that and the one that goes on the end of the shaft that is in the differential. They are cheap and good insurance in my opinion.
