I did mine the other day. Nut was tight but removed it, cleaned it, red loc-tite, and retorqued to about 28 instead of 18.
I cut the cross frame piece, left the lower water pump housing bolt in but unthreaded, never touched the motor mounts, removed the cover with a little bit of wiggling....no problem. I welded it back on without the tabs. Cleaned everything up and painted it like nothing ever happened. I have the “YES, but really I mean NO” warranty but decided to do it myself anyway because the local stealership is over a month behind in their service work. Plus the factory front upper weld looked like I had my wife weld it after a evening of drinking.... Much better now. Running it tomorrow, first day of PA buck season, first time ever opening day on a Saturday.
