most all atv tires are an inch smaller than advertised diameter. I don't know anything about mudlite 2. terrabite is a good trail tire but no good in muddy terrain, and they run short about one inch. blackwater is popular but I see sidewall punctures with people running them. the htr is a good tire from everything I know about it

Tim, you are a huge benefit to this site and a wealth of knowledge. Thanks man. My riding is similar you WV, mostly trails and hillclimbs, occasional mud, semi frequent hardball.

I have a friend with a set of Carlisle BlackWater M/S in 27. Anyone ever heard of them? They look kind of like the ITP Mayhem/Maxxis Zilla's.

looks like a very aggressive tread, good in mud but not so good on trails

Older thread but I thought I would add to it from my experience. I looked around at tire options just like the thread starter was , the different width and offset of the stock rims along with there 12" diameter really makes tire options limited. I finally gave up and went with a square option of 4 new Sedona 14" 5+2 rims along with 28"x 10" Kenda Mastodon AT K3203 Tires which I am really happy with. This requires 1.5" rear spacers to equal up the front to rear tracking, but now I am able to rotate my tires easily front to rear as they wear. It stings a bit when you first buy it all, but well worth it I feel.
