    Yamaha upgraded park brake kit

Like many of you I am fed up with my lack of a parking brake on my Viking so I came up with something to completely solve the problem for the Viking, the original wolverine, the X2, and the X4. Below is a link to a video that I made that shows the kit’s components, the installation process, and the operation of the system. If any of you are interested private message me or give me a call my number is 1-270-246-0544.

It works awesome Timmi. I have it on mine, my friends bike that I used in the video, and my buddies wolverine. It will hold when the most well adjusted factory park brake will not.

That's pretty cool. I bet you make these for a lot of other brands too. I dislike that other manufacturers only offer a Park selection and no parking brake.

I wanted to concentrate on the Yamaha line first since I have always had trouble with my brake as well as so many others and there is nothing on the market for the Yamaha to totally fix the parking brake. The other brands have crossed my mind and I have looked at a few to get some ideas. There is stuff on the market for the rzr’s but it’s all manual toggle handles in different variations, nothing like what I have built for the Yamaha’s

I had one of those manual toggle things on my Wildcat. It did work and helped with park not disengaging when stopped on a hill but it was finicky and needed constant adjustment. I think yours is a better solution.

Yes there is no adjustment that will ever need to be made with my kit. As long as the vehicle has functioning brake pads you will always have 4 wheels locked down when the brake is engaged. Also to release it just simply push the brake pedal down a little further and it disengages itself.
