    1000 or 850?

I'm looking at getting a new ride for next year and will be getting one of the 2 listed above but don't know which one I prefer, though the price of the 1k has me thinking the 850. I don't race or care about going fast and I use my machine more for trail rides and hunting/hauling heavy loads. What's everyone's thoughts on the 850? Also, just for the hell of it, anyone run a General and how do you like it?

The rmax has more power and suspension, it's a bit larger. I would drive both if possible. Cost is subjective. You have to decide if the extra power, suspension and so on is worth the price difference. The General is a good machine with lots of options, the cvt is not as solid as the Yamaha imo, neither are the suspension bushings, bearings, etc.

I am leaning more towards the Yamaha, would really love to get the 1k but at a starting price of close to $20k I can't justify spending that kind of money for a toy.

Looks like getting one of these rigs is hit or miss. I talked to my local dealer about ordering one for next spring and he told me that that’s not an option as they get these machines whenever Yamaha decides to send them one. They’ve got one coming in next month but I’m not quite ready yet to part with the Rhino and my snowplow. Hopefully they will have something available next spring.

True with most everything right now. I could sell my X2 for more than I paid for it due to demand.

Went down to the dealer to get a new Klim helmet and got a chance to check out the blue RMax2 Sport, pretty nice machine and i'm starting to lean in that direction but $22k will be a tough sell with the wife retiring this fall. They are supposed to call me when they get one of their 850's put together, told them I want to check one out in person. Rhino is still holding up pretty well and is getting a work out plowing snow this winter, I'll prbably keep it as a backup ride plus there is a lot of sentimental value for me in that machine.

I like my 850 just fine with JBS clutch and JBS springs. It doesn't have the power and travel of the 1000, but it's super quiet and narrow so woods riding like I do suits it perfectly.

Timmi, do you know when they release the new 2023 machines?
