    ugghhh..... I am gonna have to do mine soon and fix back porch roof. Thinking of putting metal roof on back half this year and front half next year, Metal cost twice as much but will outlast me.

    I thought about metal but I have basement windows that the snow would build up against when it slid. So I went with 50 year roof. I won't care in 50+ years.

    Yeah they are pretty awesome. Makes 30 year shingles look dollar store crap. When you hold them side by side. And a 20 year warranty against Moss, algae and fading.

    only downfall here is tornados... i have seen them rip roofs off a few houses down toward the coast during the hurricanes. Snow will never ever be an issue here LOL
