well new rims were on 2 days then the 1st trip down to the creek done jacked one up......still holds air just fine so guess i will just keep on going with them and see how much more gets knocked off. I am guessing the spring ride will make the other 3 match it before the weekend is over if these trails are anything like the fall ride trails lol

took a chisel to the edge to get the sharp bur off so it dont cut into the tire.

if the tire doesn't have a rim guard that happens pretty easy

I don't know how HD is but ITP has a lifetime warranty or did when I ran them

they are made by STI and it just says lifetime structural warranty but sure they are just going to say its normal wear and tear when you bang a rock. if it cracks there and starts leaking i will contact them and see what they say then. I didnt like the idea of ordering them without actually seeing them in person but i took a chance. As soon as i looked at them i knew those pieces stuck out and would not be good around rocks. was hoping the 10" tire on the 7" rim would help keep the big rocks away from the edge but guess not.

Well you don't have to worry about scratching them up anymore, lol.... I'd say the wheel manufacture for that style of wheel would say that was abuse by operator.... I'm with Timmi on a good tire that has a rim/rock guard built into the sidewall if you ride in the rocky terrain. I've taken some pretty hard hits in the rocks with the Pit Bulls and haven't damaged rim/wheel like your pics show.

Style of rim has a little to do with it also. That rim sticks out quite abit beyond the bead just looking at the picture.

it does and thats why i dont like to buy online without actually seeing 1 in person for something like that. Pics i saw online didnt show that they were raised in that area or they would still be on their shelf. oh well it is what it is and will just have to see how long they last, didnt plan on them looking new forever but didn't plan on a rock doing more than scratching them either lol ..... that must be some pretty soft material around the edge.

I've been looking at buying some wheels for several months now and the ones I really like are 220 apiece. Still trying to justify spending the money for them.
