Well the ol Chevy now has a new owner. It sold in less than 24hrs, guess I should've asked more $$$.... It's been a great truck and loved the 8.1 for towing. I won't miss the 10mpg though

I don't know what your budget is but the newer model trucks have better power and more gears in the auto trans. The 5.3 Chev and 5.0 Ford pull as well as my 5.7 Tundra and get better mpg. I think Ford or Dodge now has an 8 or 10 speed auto. I rode in Geterdun's Dodge, it shifts a lot

I have a F 150 with the 3.5 ecoboost 15-16 mpg with my 7500lb trailer and Teryx4 I also run a tire that is almost 35 inches tall
